OneWheel v1 Battery Replacement
We purchased a OneWheel when they first came out approximately 10 years ago. We have enjoyed it so much over the years and eventually purchased the upgraded model… OneWheel XR… and I inherited our original OneWheel v1. Recently, however, the battery started to give out. I couldn’t find any way to get a new battery, rebuild the battery, etc. Eventually I stumbled upon a company that rebuilds all types of battery packs. I shipped my battery pack to https://www.bulldogbattery.com/ and I just received it back. I installed it in the OneWheel v1 and its all good. So happy they were able to rebuild the battery pack for me and give my OneWheel v1 a new lease on life!!!
Also, this is a great app to use to check all the individual cells on your new battery pack to make sure they are balanced and healthy.

In the end, the battery pack should show approximately 58v when fully charged and plugged into the charger. If you use the app linked above, you will be able to see all the individual cells to make sure they are balanced. Each cell should read approximately 3.62v when fully charged and on the charger. The battery pack has 16 LiFePo4 cells in series, so 58v divided by 16 cells is 3.625v. You may have to cycle the battery back a few times to get it to balance out properly. Mine took a few cycles to “settle in”. Before it “settled in”, it would sometimes show “overchaged” or “please charge me” on the OneWheel app. After a bit of perseverance and some cycles on the battery pack, everything came within spec and it is working good as new. Have fun riding!!!
