Mac OS Ventura and Windows 11 on the T440P
After looking all over the internet for a guide or set of kext files etc for Ventura on the T440P, I finally just refreshed my T440P on my own. I installed Ventura at this time because of compatibility issues. OpenCore Legacy Patcher was definitely needed and I learned quite a bit about Hacktintoshing in order to get this all set up. In the end, every single thing works with the exception of the fingerprint reader. Native bluetooth, wifi, handoff, air drop, etc. all work. Im super happy.
I’ll probably stick with Ventura for now and then jump to Tahoe once it and OpenCore Legacy Patcher update for Tahoe are released.
The computer is just as fast. Boot time is super quick. Its great.
At the same time I decided to go all in and update to Windows 11. In the end, I used a program called WinBootMate to simplify the process. Had to manually update some drivers in Device Manager but it all works. Its super fast. Boot time is super quick. All good.
I’ll try to take some time to provide a thorough tutorial and download links to my EFI folder so that it can go super easy for everyone with a T440P. Look forward to continuing to use the computer and give it a new lease on life from time to time. Stay tuned….
